Any single wearable item may be placed in a Display Stand to display that items appearance. The displayed item is not removed from your inventory.
Right clicking on an active Display Stand will allow fine tuning of the display positioning, and allow you to hide the stand pedestal.
Note that since item appearances have varying dimensions and attachment locations, that fine tuning the placement is expected.
