Perhaps it was my studies into subjects beyond the grasp of more ordinary minds. But whatever the cause, I eventually came to realize that the Freeportian society was fundamentally flawed, and would, sooner or later, lead to its own collapse. And so, with trepidation for my obvious heritage would earn me scorn, I have come to Qeynos, hoping that these folk will see past my skin, to the mind beneath.
