I found a strange ring on a corpse in Nektulos forest. I need to see if I can find someone that has any information regarding this trinket. Maybe someone from the Emissaries of Freeport will know something about this ring.
I need to see if I can find someone that knows anything about this ring.
I need to find someone that recognizes this ring.
Deacon Danerous has decided to offer me a chance at proving my worth by having me complete what she called the 'Purification Rite', a series of tasks aimed at proving my mettle to the Emissaries of Freeport. The first of these tasks is to bring her ten vials of Sathirian poison that comes from the continent of Kunark.
I must obtain ten vials of Sathirian poison as my first task, the Rite of Poison.
0/10
I must deliver these ten vials of Sathirian poison to Deacon Danerous to complete my first task, the 'Rite of Poison'.
Deliver the poison to Deacon Danerous.
To prove my worth to the Emissaries of Freeport, I must obtain three items of wealth from Kunark for Deacon Danerous.
Obtain the weapon, 'Straightedge', for the Deacon.
Obtain a Krup belt of evasion for the Deacon.
Obtain the Grim Blade of Rile for the Deacon.
I must take these rare items to Deacon Danerous as instructed to complete the Rite of Wealth for the Emissaries of Freeport.
I must deliver these items to Deacon Danerous personally.
I must travel into Qeynos and assassinate Quin Darius, a Freeport traitor that has been feeding information to those aligned with Queen Antonia.
Assassinate the Freeport traitor that is hiding somewhere in Qeynos.
Return to the Deacon and inform her of your success, she will be happy to hear that the traitor has been killed.
Report your results back to Deacon Danerous.
I must find Preceptor Nyjuss for my next assignment, he can be found wandering somewhere within the Freeport city walls.
Seek out Preceptor Nyjuss.
My first assignment as a Watcher within the Emissaries of Freeport is to assassinate four targets that are a threat to the Overlord. It seems that these people have begun or are currently working for the Ebon Mask to help remove the Overlord from power. I must kill them while wearing the uniform of the Emissaries, this will help send a clear message. Find them and kill them.
Find and kill Rollus the Sly.
Find and kill Yulessia Nybright.
Find and kill Ekner Darkblade.
Find and kill Rid Jestands.
The mission has been completed, I must now return to the Preceptor and pass on the word of my success.
Return to the Preceptor.
Preceptor Nyjuss has informed me that the Overlord himself has decreed that the Emissaries are to assassinate someone from the Ebon Mask to reinforce the previous message and further remind them that Freeport takes this matter very seriously. I must travel to Neriak, kill a prominent figure within the Ebon Mask and leave behind a note from the Freeport Emissaries.
I must assassinate a prominent member of the Ebon Mask.
I must now place the note someplace visible so it will find its way to the head of the Ebon Mask.
I must place the note from the Freeport Emissaries in a visible location.
The mission is a success, I've murdered a very high profile member of the Ebon Mask and I've placed the fake message from the Thexian Prince. I'm sure the Queen will learn of his deeds and be outraged at this infiltration. I must now return to the Preceptor and inform him of my flawless execution.
Report in and inform the Preceptor of your success.
I've been tasked with tracking down Lirosi, a Freeport Emissary Watcher that has gone missing. I've been instructed to discover why he hasn't reported in and 'remind' him of his allegiance to the Emissaries.
I must find Watcher Lirosi and learn why he hasn't reported in.
Looks like Lirosi was given an assignment to travel to Kunark on behalf of the Emissaries, but he was too scared to complete his mission. He felt that hiding out in a tavern and drinking away his fear was the best solution. I'm sure he's in for some serious punishment for this offense.
Report back to the Preceptor with your results.
Preceptor has informed me that word has been passed down from the Bearer that Freeport spies within the Ebon Mask have learned of an ancient tome that was written in an unreadable ancient language. They believe that someone from the Ebon Mask has fled with it to Kunark and it's my job to find them. I'm willing to bet that this is the other half to the tome I found on Rhylinil in Neriak.
I must travel to Kunark, track the one that carries the ancient tome and claim it in the name of the Emissaries.
Return the book you have collected to the Preceptor, he will be anxious to learn of its whereabouts.
Deliver the tome to the Preceptor.
I need to find someone that can identify this book, since it seems that the Freeport Emissaries currently lack the resources to accomplish this. No one in Freeport has that kind of knowledge, not even the Academy of Arcane Science so I must search elsewhere.
Find someone that can identify these two tomes.
With these two tomes in my possession, I must now see if the old man was telling the truth by traveling to Kunark to find a Shisik translator. Where in the void am I going to find a Shisik translator?
I must travel to Kunark and stealthfully search out a Shisik translator.
Now that I have given her the tomes and paid for the service, I should give her a moment to translate them.
Give Kuza Sathak a moment to translate the tomes.
Speak with Kuza and see what she has learned from the tomes.
In order for me to get these tomes translated, I must first remove the spell that is preventing them from being read. Kuza Sathak has told me that the spell is old and powerful and not to rule out the idea of both living and undead beings as possible targets. One last thing she mentioned is that the magic felt slightly familiar to her, which could mean that it was some form of magic used on Kunark many years ago.
I must find and slay the creature that placed the spell upon the tomes.
Slaying the undead iksar Drusella freed the halves of the tome from their spell and bound them together into one tome. I should now take this complete tome back to Kuza and see what she can tell me about the book.
Return to Kuza Sathak and have her translate the tome.
Give Kuza Sathak some time to translate the tome from the Shisik tongue into Common.
Get the translated tome from Kuza when she is finished.
Take the recently translated tome to Preceptor Nyjuss, he will be very happy to learn that the book is now free of its magical encryption and that it has been translated into the Common tongue.
Take the translated tome back to the Preceptor as instructed.
Due to my proven loyalty to the Emissaries of Freeport and the Overlord, I have been promoted to Constable. My first task as Constable is to try and discover what temple is mentioned in the tome I translated for the Preceptor. I was told that the tome only mentions that the 'key' is to be stored in a temple where an ancient being sits in a deep slumber through the ages.
Discover the location of the temple mentioned in the tome.
Now that I've located the correct temple, I must try and see if I can find the 'key' mentioned in the tome. I'm sure it's got to be in the murky ruins of Chelsith.
Search Chelsith for any clues.
Praying at the artifacts within the old Yha-lei ruins of Chelsith revealed a chest that had been hidden by magic. I'm willing to bet that the key the tome mentions is inside that chest, I should attempt to open in and reveal its contents.
Attempt to open the chest and reveal its contents.
Open the chest and claim its contents.
Now that I have this strange amulet from the chest that was guarded by the Protector of the Blade, I should try and find a use for it. I'm sure there are other droags involved in its use, since this was a droag that was protecting this amulet. He also mentioned something about the dragons as well, so I'm quite sure they are involved to some extent.
Discover a use for the amulet.
Discover what you've just unleashed in Jarsath Wastes.
Now that you have uncovered the location and obtained the Fang of Ichor, you are to deliver it to Preceptor Nyjuss so it can be handed over to the Overlord for its safekeeping.
Deliver the Fang of Ichor to Preceptor Nyjuss.
