A Belt with Potential - Quest

December 3, 2024 -- Census is back after a 3 day outage and characters are once again exporting. Please note if your EQ2 character used the new Petamorph Key Ring feature, it will FAIL to export to Census or EQ2U. Avoid using this feature until a fix is available!!

As a drastic measure, if you are willing to irrevocably destroy any petamorph wands you have stored in the Petamorph Key Ring, you can type /delete_keyring_item 0 1234567890 where 1234567890 is the ItemID of the stored petamorph.

A Belt with Potential

I've retrieved what I thought was a belt off a Murkwater ratonga only to discover that it may have once had a more sinister purpose. It was likely scavenged from the filth that filters down to the lowest level of the sewers that they call home. It appears to have once been part of a whip. I might be able to remake it into something a little more useful.

I need to find the missing handle for the whip. If I'm lucky I might be able to find it down in the Edgewater Drains somewhere. I should probably start with the Murkwater ratonga since I found the whip cord on one of them.

After looking carefully at the braided length of leather it appears that it used to have barbs. I should attempt to find replacements. Perhaps the sharp teeth of some of the fish down in the Edgewater Drains would work.

The whip seems nearly complete though lacks weight at the end to allow it to really bite into enemies. I should try to find some suitable weights to give it a little more heft and finally make it a fearsome weapon. Perhaps the octopi have picked up something I can use.
