Shards of Frost & Fire - Quest

December 3, 2024 -- Census is back after a 3 day outage and characters are once again exporting. Please note if your EQ2 character used the new Petamorph Key Ring feature, it will FAIL to export to Census or EQ2U. Avoid using this feature until a fix is available!!

As a drastic measure, if you are willing to irrevocably destroy any petamorph wands you have stored in the Petamorph Key Ring, you can type /delete_keyring_item 0 1234567890 where 1234567890 is the ItemID of the stored petamorph.

Shards of Frost & Fire

Askr has now sent me to retrieve the Shard of the Pines and the Shard of the Storm Reapers. The Shard of the Pines was hidden within the Lavastorm Mountains by the Protectors of the Pine in the possession of a giant named Sumarvaldr. The Shard of the Storm Reapers was hidden within the frozen wastes of Everfrost and is in the possession of the giant clan, the Kromise. I should seek out both and do what I must to retrieve them.

I need to seek out Sumarvaldr within the Solusek Valley in Lavastorm and retrieve the Shard of the Storm Reapers from him.

I should speak with Sumarvaldr in the Solusek Valley of Lavastorm. (in Lavastorm)

I should defeat Sumarvaldr in combat. (in Lavastorm)

I need to seek out the Shard of the Pines in Everfrost.

I should speak with Faythwen at the southern end of the Bitterwind Gulch, in the small camp on the shore. (in Everfrost)

I need to find and kill Arnbjorg, the giant in possession of the first half of the Shard. He should be found near the Kromise caves. (in Everfrost)

I need to find and kill Gudrun, the giant in possession of the second half of the Shard. He should be found within the Kromise caves. (in Everfrost)

I need to construct the whole Shard of the Pines from the two halves.

I need to combine the two halves of the Shard. (in Everfrost)

I should return to Askr with these new Shards.

I need to speak with Askr in Timorous Deep. (in Timorous Deep)
