Form a life link with an enemy, and no amount of damage will bring you to your knees. You will sit on deaths door, but will not enter - instead, you will usher your enemy through the threshold.

Watch their strength and will seep away, and feel their desperation as they realize that they only get weaker as you get stronger. Although it is rudimentary and crude, you can fashion this energy into a destructive ball of pure magical power and unleash it on those that stand before you. Although there are better uses for this energy, the bolt will help you feel and better understand the powers that you are attempting to master.

If you are going to become an Etherealist, then you will have to learn to shed your weaker, material form and adopt one of true power. If you try to channel eldritch power all at once, though, you'd surely be destroyed. You haven't yet begun to understand at my level of competence. Start with a piece, a facet, and we will work up from there.

If you have an advantage, you must continue to press it. I rarely use one attack when several will do the job much nicer. Learn to continuously channel eldritch energy into bolts of destructive force, without it resonating in a way that will destroy you.

Obsidian Mind (Adept)
Stone does as it will. While a Geomancer can call forth the ah, power and energies of the world, we do so with the grace and acquiescence of the stone. This is a property that we, as Geomancers, can master as well. You can turn your mind as unmoving as the rock, and ah... ward off the tricks of those who might look to control or influence you.

Becoming a conduit of elementalism - being able to take the form of elements and keep them from consuming you - is at the heart of elemental mastery. This is the first step.

Implosion (Adept)
Causing an explosion is effective and will inspire awe and fear, but anyone can do it, from the alchemist to the wizard to the goblin sapper. But those who truly understand the energies of the universe, understand that the most dreadful powers will actually pull IN. If you can grasp the concept, you can cause an implosion in space that pulls enemies toward it. You can see their horror and watch them try to escape its grasp, as their bones and flesh are crushed to an infinitesimally tiny point.

Once your enemies realize what power you wield, they will likely attempt to overwhelm you with numbers. It is a banal tactic, but an expected one from those with lesser minds. Show them that you are well versed in their pathetic attempts to overcome you, and turn them to ash all at once. You can then fall back to your... friends, and unleash even more devastation, if you so desire.

Withering (Adept)
The nature of a Thaumaturgist's magic makes it so that your enemy isn't the only one that has to fear you. It permeates the area, creeping out to infect those all around your adversary. Witness whole groups of enemies wither before you, drink in their fear as your magic rips their bodies apart.

Time and space are of little consequence when universal powers are at your disposal. My enemies are never safe, and as my student, neither will yours. You can step through fissures in reality and appear near your quarry, leaving them surprised, and unable to escape your assault. I do so loathe the word 'assassin' - it sounds so mundane. But in this instance, it might be fitting. The only thing the victim knows is pain, and then nothingness.

Only true master Elementalists can accomplish this feat - all others will be destroyed by their own creations. Make a pet of your own, pet.
