I found a tome entitled, "Origins of Soil," in the Great Library of Myrist. It details much of Vegarlson, the Earthen Badlands' environs, but seems to lack anything of substance regarding the plane's inhabitants. I'll have to learn through experience, then, and try not to soil myself in the process.
